retrorestore its really great of him. Too many on YouTube are in for the money alone. To me integrity is a lot more important and he has a lot of that.

Thanks for putting in the effort. In 8 min I learnt from you what probably took 8 hours of your time. Time permitting I will try to add useful content too. This is what we need to do as a global community.

This is great work and you are right in not expressing a preference. Its your independence that makes your videos so appealing. The data is there for those who are using the product to see what suits them best. In your auto cleaning videos if it is possible to overlay photos and estimate the removal percentage that would be helpful. I know that can be difficult but as you can imagine its even more difficult and subjective for us to do that.

Interesting experiment. I like it. Sure many have wondered about that.
1
I remember that add. Always wondered if it was true. I think you answered that good enough for me.

What happens to gasoline if its stored? I'm off to google it but if someone knows a simple explanation do share.
1
I like that idea too.

Interesting. Most times I use a zip tie its almost never greatly stressed so cheapest would be best. Heck just use two harbor freight ties and you would be past all the other brands and still very cheap.

I would like to suggest coconut oil since we are going with plant based stuff. That is very feasible especially if a person gets stuck close to a beach where they grow naturally.
1
I did not expect that. I expected it to work a little worst that proper engine oil and to degrade a little in the hour testing.
1
Nothing broken.... That's definitely different. Great though. Its a little unnerving to see tools fail every time.

I am in the market for a handheld vacuum so this has been a most helpful video to me. Thanks for your great reviews.

Excellent idea.

I bought Ryobi bits last year and I am very disappointed. They put on the hex shank by pressing one side in. That led to the bit not being in line with the hex shank. Pointless if the tip of a bit wobbles too much to use it.

I believe you have just upped your level. Congrats. This is as scientific as you can get in a home workshop. Saw the thermocouple and at times the reading was visible but in future can you add in that data too on your presentations.
1
I find it looked a little cleaner. Can you pull up the past cleaners and put them side by side? Is it worth it to use isopropyl alcohol instead of commercial cleaners?
1
The work done here is great. It saves the viewers a lot of guessing. Please keep it up. You got my thumbs up for sure.

Another very useful video. Never thought about the bearing method to test wear.

Definitely ply was not the best choice. That said I want to suggest an aluminium sheet in between the wood. Basically a positive half and a negative and press the aluminium in between to get the shape then assemble it on the wood. Even steel sheeting is a nice idea. This makes sense in a desperate situation where wood is available and some sheeting material. Even roof sheeting. Can an engine be made to work without casting and machining a head?

Another very useful video. Thanks for the effort you put in.

A few years ago I took one of those lights with a lead acid battery and replaced that with a Li-ion from a vape. At the time I did not have a charge control circuit to put in.

I had a sketchers many years ago and it was the most comfortable steel toe booth I ever had. The retailers stopped bringing them in to my country so I never got a second one. I am now in the market for a replacement shoe so this video is really helpful. I was considering DeWalt but unfortunately that show was not included. Think I will look into the sketchers since online purchases are now easy.

Dark has the identical comment above (well most of it).
1
I consider a shop vac a fairly expensive purchase so this is really helpful. It allows an informed decision without trial and error. Thanks.
1
Great work. Where I live the easiest to find is the DeWalt so that's my choice over no name brands. If i do find the Makita I will definitely give it a try.

Form the standpoint of an emergency I think a thin sheet metal backed with wood is a good test. The metal for heat resistance and the wood for structural strength. Maybe even a coat of silicone between metal and wood to give the wood a fighting chance.
1
Another good video. Useful info to have for sure.

Isopropyl alcohol is a nice one to try. My other suggestion is mixing in waste vegetable oil with gasoline. The objective is to determine the ratio that burns and performs reasonably well. Maybe if prices of gas skyrocket for some reason in the future this can be an option to stretch the mileage for those who may have access to waste oil.

I did not expect a welder to work. Interesting approach.

Hopefully someone skilled in picture editing could possibly suggest which software would be best to possibly do a proper scaling and alignment, subtraction and then possibly a count of the pixels so its less subjective.
1
Been doing that magnet in the bag trick for years. Works wonders.
1
This is the most useful video you have made. Great info. I normally buy energizer or duracell.
1
I have tried and failed at at aluminium "brazing". Wrong brands I believe. Base metal melts. This is very good info. Thanks.
1
Hmmm. Anyway you can filter the bacon grease with a napkin just like you did at the end. Funnel made from the top of a plastic bottle.
1
Intuitively I know this. I use drywall almost all the time. Seeing the numbers makes a big difference though. It gels it all in my mind. I am also very surprised that the galvanise coating is that effective.
1
That 2 to 3% is within the margin of what might have been left in the system or errors in the measurement. Basically the results are the same. Like you I did not believe the atomisation would have been good enough to start the engine. I was surprised too. Further surprised how strong the suction was based on the violent motion of the fuel. I learnt a lot in 12 min so thanks for taking the time to make the video.
1
Can't stop now. You've got to complete this. Maybe a 6 months test outside and discharge.
1
Sounds like a decent idea.
1
The Chemical Workshop I thought you would get water and oxygen, not hydrogen. Can you write the equation for the reaction you are proposing?
1
The Chemical Workshop it happens. I tied up frequency and RPM recently and could not figure out how that made sense when I was typing.
1
Very useful info. Few years ago I paid a premium for the eneloop. Now I realise its not s great a deal as I though.
