Nice look but its a bit of a short term projection. Hopefully in the future no one will have to work because everything will be done better by machines. Look past UBI when almost everything is free and access is straight forward within reason of course. Simple example. Say you walk into a supermarket and everything is free would you consume excessively? Some will. But if its free everyday and will continue to be free will people over consume? Will they try to stockpile? No they will function as they do now (assuming they are not too poor to buy what they want).

@luged yes it will require lots. My comment was meant to look a little further in the future. I think he did well covering the near future but no mention of what is possible a bit further up the road. We will reach there. Scarcity drives economics but a lot of that will go out the window in the future as we become a multi-planet species. Couple decades and our grandchildren will not even relate to work (as we know it now) just as kids today cannot relate to waiting by the radio to catch a song and put it on a cassette.

I disagree. Low skilled work has the lowest risk. Its low paying work that requires a complex mechanical machine to be physically built to replace them. High paid professionals on the other hand do not require mechanical machinery to replace them. All that is needed is advanced software and all it needs to run on is computers which we have in the billions.

el ro what happens when there is no work so the work does not fall on less people. The machines are 100 times faster and way better so there is no point employing people.
