  1. If I understand solar cells correctly there are numerous types. Some are made by vapour deposition so they are really thin. Also dopands are needed. Lattice matching. Certain thicknesses are needed to "catch" the photons. I am not convinced you really did any substantial coverage of the topic or was knowledgeable enough to even ask basic questions.I am well aware that I am not even slightly knowledgeable but I know enough to understand that this is a flaky coverage.
