  4. Strangely I found the add for SimScale the most interesting part of the video. Its not that the video was bad. Just that I have read a lot on the GPS systems over the years so its not new to me. Think I will check out SimScale.

  6. Great video. I dabbled a little with solenoid design but never more. I can only imagine the problems when its scaled up. Just trying to get the power in at the speed needed is a serious challenge. The forces involved is another. Collapsing magnetic field. Vapourisation of rails. This is past welding and into plasma. Hats off to the engineers who are progressing this.

  7. Like you comment on Seeker. Just 2 weeks ago I called out another of their videos. Its all about crunching out videos to make a buck and getting catchy headlines. Sadly many people do not have the background or desire to get the background to do simple back of the envelope calcs.

  12.  Khaffit  I think that you should probably question the regime that chose to turn a blind eye and not put him on trial. Instead they relocated him and put him in a top post to get to space. Proud moment for them if I recall correctly built on the backs of the same regime that killed millions.

  17. A few times I tried to put out proper calculations like you did here the viewership was minimal. Glad you can get this out to so many. It really does help when clear thinking prevails. I will continue my efforts though since my videos form a good reference for me to look back on as a refresher.

  20.  @antiprismatic  maybe but the main trouble explaining has been converting CO2 back to fuel. Most people are really skeptical when I mention that. Its not common knowledge.
