  1. Great video. I dabbled a little with solenoid design but never more. I can only imagine the problems when its scaled up. Just trying to get the power in at the speed needed is a serious challenge. The forces involved is another. Collapsing magnetic field. Vapourisation of rails. This is past welding and into plasma. Hats off to the engineers who are progressing this.
