@8G00SE8 oh yeah I forgot about Kaliningrad. The US did the exact same thing to Iraq without UN approval. That was actually worst since Iraq posed no security threat to US. That's just the reality with the bigger players. Its not right but there is nothing we can do about it.

@8G00SE8 Poland does not share a border with Russia. It can host missiles and that's an issue for sure considering how aggressive the Polish have been in this conflict. I would bet Russia has more aimed at Poland than anyone else from the former soviet states. Submarines are a lot more limited and cannot remain in a position indefinitely. Not saying they are not beneficial but a land base has a lot of merit too.
