  3. People who put plastic bags over surveillance camera lenses are heroes in my book. Orwell was British, ya know. I was in London last July. Surveillance State Dystopia. I put up a fuss at the immigration desk and would not let them take my photo. I said it is creepy to have government tracking you everywhere. I said I did not want to be part of their surveillance photo database. As for 15 minute cities, I have no problem with people voluntarily moving to them, nor to private developers creating them. I have a problem with them being forced on people via government. And that is what is happening. Environmentalism is being used as a cudgel to implement a socialistic dictatorship. We must resist.

  6. There is nothing wrong with money. Money is a medium of exchange. It facilitates trade. It serves as a store of value. It comes to represent human labor and human value. It is only a vehicle. But it must never replace you as the driver. It is not money that is evil. It is the opposite of money which is evil: force. You see, when people do not trade voluntarily, they steal from each other by force. The former is good, the later is evil. It is not money that is evil. It is excessive love of money that leads to evil and corruption.

  10. But the government is NOT a good foil for crony capitalism. Entrepreneurship in a competitive market is much better. Instead, government is the principle way that crony capitalist power is attained and perpetuated. So, no, I don't worry about too little government power. Even during the roaring '20's, it was excessive government power that was the problem. Same with today. I doubt anyone would be able to argue with a straight face that government needs more power today. Not when members of Congress outperform the DOW with their own personal investments each and every year.

  12.  @tacticalskiffs8134  No. Free market policies do not include subsidies on fuel for anyone or any thing. My bet is that if subsidies were deleted AND the excessive burdens of taxation and over-regulation were lifted, the farmers would all be better off on balance. And so would the rest of us.

  21.  @arnoldberk2809  I got arrested on 6/14/24 in Edmonds, WA for collecting petition signatures in a public park. It was a public arts festival. The park had been rented to a private org, but it was a public event. They wanted me to leave, and called the cops. I stood my ground and made them arrest me. My lawyer got my charges dropped and now I am going to sue.
