  1. Gresham's Law says that bad money drives out good. Bitcoin is good money. People are keeping it and not spending it because they think it is going to appreciate. But the dollar is rapidly declining in value. Spend it now while it is still worth something! So as long as this is the case, people will prefer not to spend BTC. They will tend to hold it instead if they have it.
