  1. Regulatory Capture. The FDA in the US has been captive for many decades. And funding it more from taxes won't help. Money flows under the table, too. The FDA should be privatized. There should be multiple, private, competing standards agencies for drugs and medicines. Just like Underwiters Laboratories or Consumer Reports. They would compete with each other for reputations and the quality of their reviews. Government should not have the power to prohibit us from taking any drug.

  3. It is VERY dangerous to give the power of censorship to the government. There is a reason that in the US, the First Amendment in our Bill of Rights is about defending freedom of speech and the press. There should be no Ministry of Propaganda.
