  1. Choice works for every single product and service in society. Competition makes quality go up, and cost go down. It spurs innovation. I'm a teacher, and I send my kids to private schools. There, I am a customer, instead of a captive.

  4. Government schooling is a failed social experiment. All government schools should be privatized, and put under local, parental boards as non-profit orgs. A full-ride scholarship should be given to the bottom half, funded by property taxes. And these scholarships should also be gradually privatized over a couple of decades. As long as the politicians run education, they will use the power to enhance their own power and interests.
