  1. I'm an individualist. America is fundamentally individualistic, not collectivist. Identifying with ones own race, whether white or black or anything else, is collectivist thinking. Socialist. Marxist. Even Fascist. Nah, group identity is not for Americans. Chinese, maybe. Germans, maybe. But not Americans.
