  1. How can prohibition work? Remember what happened with alcohol? It created gangsters like Al Capone! Same thing is happening today with the drug war. Addiction is bad, but prohibition is not the solution. Now, we should also not be subsidizing it. There should be no safe injection sites or needle exchange programs funded by taxpayers. And private charities, most of them religious, are the best way to fight homelessness and addiction. But making drugs illegal just makes things worse.
