  2. Power corrupts. The people have allowed the politicians to seize too much power. We need to reduce the size, scope, budget and power of government.

  3.  @gpower9129  If it is imposed, it is not voluntary, and hence not a contribution. An "imposed contribution" is a contradiction in terms. Rights are things that individuals have. Some powers are granted to government by the Constitution. Government has no rights, only powers. When someone is drafted their rights to liberty are being violated. They may go along without resisting, or they may resist. But to claim that someone who is drafted when volunteering had been possible beforehand is not being coerced or forced is just crazy. Another contradiction in your thinking.

  4.  @fakkva2841  I think that government should only be funded by voluntary contributions. I think that the only legitimate function of government is the defense of our equal, individual rights to life, liberty and property.

  5. Government schooling is a failed social experiment. Each government school building should be privatized and set up as a separate non-profit org with a local parental board. A full-ride scholarship should be given to the bottom half.

  11.  @leekelly1718  I agree that education should be the goal, but is not. But I disagree that today's educational institutions are focused on job preparation. That would be better than what they actually do, which is mostly political indoctrination. Propaganda is the main goal.

  12.  @antonyjh1234  I agree with you that government violates our rights and our freedom daily. But true freedom is a state of mind. None but ourselves can free our minds. We must fight against the government efforts to enslave us, but as long as we know we are free, we will remain free, if only in our minds. Slavery is complete when the slave forgets he is actually free.

  13.  @MSHNKTRL  Every 16 year old male has to register for the draft. You are right that they aren't calling anyone up, but they are prepared to at a moment's notice, and every young American male has to be afraid of that.

We need to boycott the banks and the politicians and the large corporations. A parallel economy is just what we need. We need a peaceful revolution.

  24. When one party to a contract is in material breach of that contract, the other party is no longer obligated by that contract. Central to any good conception of the social contract in America is the Bill of Rights. Well, the US government violates the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 10th Amendments daily and egregiously. We are therefore not obligated to pay taxes.
