All three are heroes in my eyes. They exposed bad stuff the US government is doing. Constitution-violating stuff. I would like to see MORE such leaks. And Assange and Manning and Tixiera should all be freed.

"New-Klee-Ar." Not "New-Q-ler." Thanks.

Congrats! :)

This is really bad. Collapse of international trade tends to happen right before war. When goods cross borders, troops tend not to. Makes no sense to attack a major supplier or a good customer. We need more trade interdependence. For peace.

Interesting assessments and observations! I'm just going to keep doing what I have done for the last 30 years: voting Libertarian.

Atlas Shrugged is my favorite book! :)

Putin's announcement of 300K troops is intended to frighten and demoralize the Ukrainian troops, and to get the Western allies funding them to give up. He may not even be able to mobilize that many, but to him, it does not matter. I just hope he doesn't turn to nukes.

Sorry. Not Fascist. That's just a smear from their opposition.

Jones Act sucks and should be repealed.

Does this amount to a declaration of war by Germany on Russia? That might not end well...

Why is this video unlisted?

When goods cross borders, troops tend not to. Makes little sense to attack a key supplier or a good customer. As trade contracts, the risks of global war increase. Just before WW2, the Smoot-Hawley Tariff dramatically reduced international trade, especially with Germany. It hurt the German economy, and fueled the rise of Hitler. Trade helps people on both sides of borders, and tends to lead to peace. Deglobalization is a threat to peace, freedom and prosperity.

Scooby-Doo vans! Hah! Funny! The Mystery Machine! :)

China is USING covid to keep control of their population. They don't care how many die, so they don't care how many get covid. But they do care about their own power, and they know the current global changes are a threat to that.

Did he say the yield would be "poultry?" :) No, no, paltry. I get it. :)

I'm a Jefferson fan, too.

New-Klee-Ar. Not New-Q-Lar! Sorry. Pet peeve of mine.

Please: "New Klee Ar." Not "New Q Lar." The word is spelled "nuclear." Not "nucular." Thanks! :)

The way I view it is that the dollar is the best looking horse at the glue factory. But we will miss it when it is gone, and replaced by a US or international Central Bank Digital Currency. With that, they will have total control over the people. Exceed your monthly gasoline quota? Transaction denied. Criticize the government? No access to your own money. Just like Trudeau did to the truckers protest in Canada. Negative interest rates? No problem: your bank balance goes down by 2% every year. It will be a massive step towards dictatorship. We must resist the CBDC with everything we have.

Repeal the Jones Act.

The CBDC is coming, and it will be a massive blow to human freedom. We must resist it with everything we have.

I have some chunks of the Berlin Wall. My parents were vacationing there in the early '90's and bought some souvenirs form a dude with a sledge hammer. I'm sure there are millions of such chunks across the world. It's as thought the force of the explosion of the Soviet Communist Empire made debris fly around the Earth.

It was a truck bomb, and it appears to have been a suicide mission. The security camera video seems to show no one jumping out of the truck before the blast.

Good comment, G Money.

Great discussion. Great information! Thanks. I have one quibble: you talk about a domino theory across Eastern European Nato nations. But the Russians lack that capability. They are stuck in a quagmire in Ukraine. My bet is that Ukraine turns in to Russia's Afghanistan of today. The war will cause the collapse of Russian government, just as the USSR's war in Afghanistan was a major contributing factor in the destruction of the USSR. I don't think Poland, Estonia, et al have anything to worry about.

The left is in a panic about this. If a more efficient version can be implemented at scale it takes away the force of their arguments for centralizing political power.
