@20quid That sounds like a strawman argument. Me thinks that the villages and hamlets are NOT integrated multi-ethnic communities. That argument really only applies to major cities. If San Marino, the Vatican, Andorra, Lichtenstein, and Luxemburg can be independent states, then why can't the same occur in Bosnia?

@logixxt9097 Considering most of the Serbs are in Republika Srpska, it seems to be the difference between then and now is that then the Serbs wanted to control ALL of Bosnia, but now they just want to take what they do have and go their own way. LET THEM. The Croats and Bosnian Muslims don't need them. With that context, no, it is NOT the same and my proposal is NOT what they were doing genocide for.

@logixxt9097 And new war will occur BECAUSE you won't let the area further balkanize into smaller local states. The Cantons are already effectively smaller states, so why not make it official? If you bother to even pay attention, NOBODY really likes nor wants the system in place, and it represents nobody except the interests of the power mongers. Your insistence on they are remaining under such as tyrannical governing body is no less wrong and evil as the bloodshed that preceded it. Perhaps YOU don't understand that you are using one tragedy to justify another tragedy. That is despotic and dictatorial, just as evil as the one you are moralizing over. Trading one evil for another evil, one dictator for another is still affirmatively choosing evil.

@logixxt9097 Calling me a bot isn't an argument, it is an ad hominin (logical fallacy). It is also an act of desperation because it means you know you cannot argue the merits. How can you use genocide as justification for tyranny and despotism? How can you use the dead to justify doing the same thing to the other side? You clearly don't understand that MORE government and MORE centralize authority is precisely what causes crimes against humanity such as genocide. As for nations, built on ethnic cleanings, EVERY NATION has at some point engaged in ethnonationalism at the expense of minority populations. Don't pretend that Bosnian Muslims did not engage in the very same acts during WW2 as part of Haj Amin Al-Husseini's SS brigade; it is very well documented.

@logixxt9097 All of that is needlessly over complex. LESS government and centralize authority is ALWAYS the correct answer. Centralized power and control is NEVER the correct answer. You insist on upholding an overly complex system that disenfranchises EVERYONE. That is the textbook definition of tyranny.

@98091238 Simplistic, perhaps, But hardly propagandistic. And the only reason why it is so complex is because people insist on making it needlessly more complex than it has to be. "Life is very simple, people just insist on making it overly complex," -Confucius, author of "The Analects"
