Ther Russian Bear is Geriatric. They may be using the T-62 because it is convenient and easier, but that tells you the desperation they are in and how effective Ukrainian used of anti-Tank weapons have been.

Something to consider: The WW2 German tanks one on one were the best in the world. But they were vastly outnumbered on the battlefield by the Soviet T-34 and US Sherman. While neither on the allied tanks would want to face a German Panzer one on one, typically the Shermans would gang up on the Panzer with number of three or five to one. A strictly better tank can be overwhelmed by numbers (quantity is a quality of its own- Joe Stalin). I guess what I am saying is that I am all for the Germans handing over their surplus tanks to the Ukrainians rather than simply scrapping them. Though likely obsolete compared to the T-90, a large number of Leopard 1s thrown against Russian tanks could still turn the battle in favor of the weaker armed Ukrainians simply because of the numbers game,

@MatthewChenault That is a nice idea, but completely misses the point that the so-called Donesk and Luhansk "Armies" are simply Russian military wearing civilian clothes. This isn't new, during the Korean war, North Korean MiGs were flown by Soviet Pilots. Same situation in the Arab-Israel wars when Soviet pilots were flying Egyptian aricraft.

@MatthewChenault Wow, triggered are we? But then that is typical of a Putin shill and mouthpiece for the Kremlin. When Finland, Sweeden, and Switzerland all reject your narrative you have completely lost the plot. Donetsk and Luhansk have NOTHING to do with the Russian people and have EVERYTHING to do with Ukraine having large proven reserves of oil and natural gas that threatens Russia's European energy monopoly. Make no mistake, Putin is trying to steal Ukraine's rightful gas, oil, and coal deposits.

@MatthewChenault Or those are all fabricated sob stories that have zero basis in fact. Have you considered that? Tell me, why has Putin not taken the same steps to protect the Russian speaking people in Kazakstan? Or Uzbekistan? Or Azerbaijan? This is a land grab pure and simple. This is no different than the Japanese going into Sakhalin in 1905, Germany going into Polland in 1939, or Russia into Finland in that same year. Again, when historically neutral states like Switzerland, Austria or Sweden have now taken a hard stance AGAINST Putin and Russia, you have lost the plot. When you can't convince those nations of your argument, your claims are invalid. Have you considered that?
