Indeed. The problem isn't the ethnic background, it is the culture of dependency and entitlement that forms around government subsidies and handouts. Stop it at its source before it festers into something much worse.

Except, the Asian immigrant population proves that a lot of the issues regarding redlining were fixed in the 1970s and 1980s. You can't only blame the fallout from those policies for so long before it becomes clear that the problem isn't historic discrimination but simply a lack of motivation from said populations. Thomas Sowell even points out with HARD STATICAL DATA that recent African immigrants are better off than native born Black Americans. Clearly the problem isn't discriminatory policies anymore.

@glitzerplastikchichi The devil is in the details though. You don't get into debt, but unless you have the connections (ie nepotism), you don't get into the schools that will actually give you what you need to thrive. The vast majority are stuck going to third rate schools and then to dead-end jobs. As for "healthcare" the wait times are two to three years to get a major surgery. There is a reason why most people LEAVE Europe and come to the US for those kinds of treatments. Sorry, Soviet medicine is exactly what you guys have. And the rationing that is to be expected from such as system.

Or learn the lesson of the Cabrini Green projects of Chicago. Namely, that government subsidized housing invariably becomes ghetto slums. It has nothing to do with ethnic background and has everything to do with the deleterious motivations created by handouts and "freebies".
