  2. What are you talking about? Both the Kharkov and Kherson offensives occurred without air superiority. While it will greatly facilitate an offensive, that does not mean it is impossible to happen without it.

Just because they were under one ruling family during the era of the Czars does NOT mean they particularly like each other. Just ask the Poles. Yes, this war is about the Donbas. And the coal, gas, and oil deposits under them. Putin does not want Ukraine to be competition for the energy market. But of course, you don't want to talk about that because it lays bare Putin's cynical reasons for invading Ukraine.
