@grahampaterson4368 Because claims that it is a sign of racism, or the like is completely divorced from reality. His wife has as 1st amendment right to free speech and her exercising that right is NOT Alito's responsibility. To claim it does is the logical fallacy of guilt by association.

However, the fact that you immediately went to Jan 6th "RIOTERS" means you are regurgitating the exact same talking points of the people who claim those flags are racist. Further, being on the SCOTUS does NOT mean that they surrender their constitutional rights, nor that their family must do so either. The fact that Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson ALL regularly engage in conflicts of interest and the same kind of behavior yet NEVER recuse themselves means that you cannot hold Alito to a stricter standard than the one you hold them to. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Your problem is that I am calling your hypocrisy and blatant biases which you refuse to acknowledge yourself. Kagan was called on to recuse herself from the Obamacare mandates on the grounds that she originally argue for them in court before getting confirmed to the bench. Surprise, surprise, she did not step away. In the Penguin Random House case, all three times it went to the court, Sotomayor refused to recuse herself despite her 3-million-dollars from that company in a clear conflict of interest in the case. Justice Jackson only recused herself from the Harvard Affirmative Action case BECAUSE of the outcry of blatant bias if she didn't. When even folks on the left said she should step aside, she had no choice but to comply. Ball is now in your court. I have proven my point now it is time for you to pony up to the bar.

@grahampaterson4368 Kagan was called to recuse herself over the Obamacare mandates because she was the one that initially argued for them before it went to the SCOTUS. CLEAR conflict of interest. Sotomayor was called to recuse herself over the Penguin Publishing House because she had received over 3 Million dollars from them, yet she refused to step aside. The ONLY reason why Jackson stepped aside on the Harvard Affirmative Action case was because even folks on the left were calling her to stand down. Now that I have proven my position, the burden is on you to explain why those are acceptable.
