As if Russia hasn't supplied weapons to African insurgencies. Spare me your moral outrage.

The cost for Ukraine was going to be high no matter what they do. So, when you have nothing to lose, you fight like a cornered badger. Better to die on your feet than live on your knees as a slave. And the Ukraine understands slavery to the Soviet State.

@wartome3196 The US didn't indiscriminately target civilians the way Putin has.

And how many of those conflicts have had the USSRs hand behind the scenes? You do realize that the Korea war was instigated by Stalin? You realize that the USSR encouraged Naser to fight Israel? You realize it was the USSR who invaded Afghanistan in the 1980s? It takes two to tango. You are blatantly ignoring the aggression by the Soviet bloc.

@cliffordting8650 Zelesky could negotiate, but do you really think the Ukrainian people would just accept whatever terms he agrees to? The people of Ukraine have made their intentions clear. It will be up to THEM to decide what terms are acceptable. And right now, it is clear that noting less that the complete withdraw of Russian troops will satisfy them.

@70dreadnought He doesn't trust American news sources, the very people to railed against Trump. But I get it, you are a shill for the establishment power mongers who want the "global reset".

If Ukraine becomes for Russia what Afghanistan was for the USSR, well then that is Putin's fault. There is a lesson to be learned: people defending their homes have the force multiplier advantage of terrain.
2
Agreed. Feed them and arm them, but this is their fight, not ours.

@70dreadnought The Davos group isn't even hiding it anymore. You are like the ostrich with its head in the ground. But I get it, you are a good little lickspittle for your feudal masters, regurgitating talking points on cue like Pavlov's Dog.

But can he afford to simply hand over free weapons? The USSR believed they could but got out competed by the US.

Keep dreaming. He has already rejected offers of evacuation. In that he is more heroic that cowards like Charels deGaulle.

Yeah, there were fifth columns in the west during WW2, but they were not Japanese. Most were German and Italian but were quickly identified by intel such as MI-5. Western counterintelligence puts former KGB to shame. Only Mossad is better at that game than the West.
1
Yeah, there has not been much progress and development of former Soviet technology since the 1980s. The fact that the MiG-31 and MiG-33 are not that much different from the 29-Fulcrums is not a good sign for Russia.
1
Nevel Chamberan capitulation huh? I guess that means you should just roll over when Red China comes for your country.
1
Sure, as if just laying down and surrendering would spare them. You have never had to fight for your home, so I don't expect you to understand. Pray that you never have to experience what the Ukrainians are living.

The problem is that airframes are easy to identify. Russia is never going to be flying a Boeing aircraft. Nor would they fly a British Tornado fighter. The inventories and operators of the various airframes are well known. The stickers are more to prevent "friendly fire" accidents.

Pyrrhic victory maybe. And is that truly final victory?

@Bizzare77777 You don't understand the Law of Armed Conflict. You are a moral equivocator with zero experience on the battlefield. There is a word for people like you: CHIECK HAWK. Try putting on a uniform and understand that the Uniform Code of Military justice WILL hold you to account. Just take a look at what they tried to do to Lt. Colonel Alan West.

@vanlin9107 Actually it DOES matter. As a Korean you of all people should know that Democracy south of the DMZ is better than the squalor and famine north of the DMZ.
