His example of capitalism is better described a corporatist-oligarchism. It only exists because government protects the aristocracy. In a pure laissez-faire which he criticizes, the elites would not stay on top long unless they are innovative and creative. That means the old money corruption would not last long as they don't have the force of government (ie authoritarianism) propping them up.

"The greatest injustice is to make unequal things equal," -Aristotle. The damn fools don't realize the only true equality is at the lowest common denominator: crushing poverty. That is the end result they are willfully blind to.

@Kazeshini25663 Actually, Google does benefit from government intervention. Communication Decency Act of 1996, specifically section 230 is their protections. Without them, Google would have been taken to court years ago. Hell, only now with Prager University is Google finally getting hit with violating the terms of their government protections and now being exposed to the slander and libel litigation that publishers face. Litigation, slander, and libel and the costs associated with that is part of the free-market. It is a critical part of the system that the government all too often interferes with.

@raumograeywolf5477 Clans are matrilineal while family names are patrilineal. Man and woman cannot stand on their own. You show ignorance when you discount the power women wield within the family. I am reminded of one of the Peloponnesian Wars. The women of Athens and Sparta got tired of burying their sons husbands, brothers, and fathers. So the women of both cities decided to force the issue by refusing to sleep with their men. The War ended within two weeks. You are conflating these man-hating girl-children with real women who know how to use their power and make the most of their situation. Women rule the roost and always have. Girl-children have yet to even establish a roost.

@paranoidpanzerpenguin5262 The Red Chinese government owns everything. "State Capitalism" is still central planning by the central party committee who just happen to be the managers of said "companies". Don't fool yourself. Hong Kong and Macau are rich and productive because they are capitalist which until recently the Chi-Coms left intact. The reason why the Red government's attempt to make Shenzen a rival to Hong Kong and Macau fails is because they don't allow private ownership, the foundation on which capitalism exists.

@uriahthehittite2309 I will use a different explanation. "Equal but different". Taken as a whole we are equal, but our strengths and weakness are individually tailored. Men and women are made different, but that does not mean we cannot achieve similar if slightly different goals. Only the nihilists insist that men and women must be exactly the same.

@raumograeywolf5477 Matriarchy is not inherently bad. As I said, the problem is the nihilists who are so miserable, that if they can't rule, they would rather see the world around them burn. Kind of like Arcturus Mengsk in StarCraft.

@uriahthehittite2309 You missed the point. Groups of inter-related families had to keep track of matrilineal relations so as to prevent incest and inbreeding. Ever heard of parallel cousins? Clans tracked matrilineal lines so as to prevent one from marrying the daughter of the mother's sister.

At least you are aware of it and acknowledge it. That is the first step towards solving a problem.

We have not even reached full productivity and hence peak population capacity. If we ramped up to maximum productivity in the US, American's breadbasket in the Midwest alone could easily feed 8 billion. The problem is, what is to be gained from that? What does sub-Sahara Africa have to offer in trade? The problem isn't really resources, it is distribution. Without something to trade, it is not worth while for farmers to produce that much abundance.
