  3. The think is most of the "anti-war" movies of the 1950s were NUANCED. Meaning that they were against unprovoked war, but that there was a time when you DID have to fight. The message was basically a more tactful version of General William Tecumseh Sherman's "War is Hell" quote.

  10.  @bmacaulay18  The irony is that T.E. Lawrence had the best solution, but the Brits refused to listen to him. Take a look at his map which was released around 2004. It would have divided the region along historical tribal boundaries which had more or less stabilized by then.
