  1.  @klarkewang  North Korea and South Korea are also small nations, and yet they also very clearly demonstrate the difference between Communist Bloc centralized control and Western Free Markets. If not for Deng Xiaoping, mainland China would be no different than DPRK (North Korea). The fact that South Korea and Taiwan are both strong and free Western societies proves that you claim is completely bunk. Size and culture matter not. The Two Chinas have been divided longer than the two Koreas, further discrediting your contention. And I could go on for hours punching holes in your arguments with examples like these.

  8. An apt description, but the model also applies to politicians in Western Republics as well, sadly. The major difference is that China has had over 2,000 years of totalitarian rule under an Absolute Monarch while the West began to dispose of Monarchies about 200 years ago.

Now consider how much larger China is and you start to understand how it is taking longer for China's looming debt crisis to catch up. An analogy is someone at a restaurant who forgot his credit card. He keeps ordering more food to prevent the bill from being brought out. China is effectively doing the same thing.

  10.  @LesliePeter  Did you not watch the video? They addressed that. The Chinese middle class are NOT the consumers that Americans are. Despite what Joseph Stalin said, quantity is NOT a quality of its own. Bulk may be great for efficiency, but it is a terrible way to turn a profit.
