  1. I would say there is a different answer to high growth and high "prosperity". It is called currency manipulation and cooking the books. It is often said that governments differ very little from organized crime. So, when government dispenses with the pretense of legitimacy and fully embraces the idea of mafia operations, you can see it become surprisingly effective in the way that organized crime syndicates can be quite profitable.
