  1. The "continent" is nothing new. It was exposed land during the last glaciation period when global ocean levels were much lower. The Graben itself is at least 83 million years old, with some of the rocks going back as far as 540 million years ago.

  5.  @meandyou2046  The combustion temperature of most plastic polymers is around 850 Celsius. The temperature of molten magma and lava is three times that. Doesn't take a scientist to know that your theory about plastic blocking volcano vents has no merit.

  11.  @jebablessysalomi3451  Look at Heaven Lake on Mount Paektu on the Chinese- Korean Border. It is about 4 km across. Crater Lake, Oregon is 8km across. Honga's caldera is at least 3km across. There are many others like that.
