Yury Bezmenov is a traitor - that's everything you have to know about him. Traitors should't be trusted. He didn't like his life in Soviet country and wanted to live in the West, that's understandable. But he started working to undermine his motherland that rased him and gave him (for free) that level of education which he demonstrates here. The theory of propaganda he describes here is not what KGB used, it's what the CIA used and still uses. Note how he never gives concrete examples of such work by KGB, whereas 100s of books exist, written by those who worked in CIA, filled with concrete examples of such work by CIA in many countries.
Except his own words, there are no facts showing Bezmenov really worked for KGB. He studied Oriental cultures and languages in Moscow university and worked as a translator in India, where Soviets helped India to built an oil-processing factory. Ater that, Bezmenov claims, he started working in propaganda department of Soviet news agency... Suddenlly, from being a translator to being a propagandist without any additional education? That is ridiculous claim.
