It also highlights how those other projects have a much heavier reliance on the developers to know what the protocol parameters are and what they will be with each hardfork upgrade. Don't be naive, hardfork upgrades are not all roses and sunshine. It needs to be actively avoided in Bitcoin unless it is a true emergency.
