  8. Wrong because bitcoin is not a democratic system. As a user, I don't have any authority to "vote" to make incompatible changes to the bitcoin unless I want to go make an altcoin. For example, many people wanted to increase the blocksize of the bitcoin blockchain, but because it was an incompatible change, they went to go make an altcoin called bitcoin cash.

  9.  @garrettmckeown1863  no, the miners do not have voting rights. In 2017, we saw how the majority of miners wanted to implement larger blocks in Bitcoin, but they were unable to make it happen. They ended up having to go make an altcoin called Bitcoin Cash. They can only vote themselves off the island so to speak.

  10.  @pb25193  I see how you are thinking about it, but my supposition is that bitcoin can serve as a global unit of account once it is adopted on a mass scale for medium of exchange and store of value - but we are still in the speculation phase for another decade or so.
