  2. Like gold mining, if you don't have the proper equipment, you shouldn't bother with mining. Bitcoin is usable as a currency without having to worry about mining.

  6. that is not necessary, you could technically buy bitcoin from people on the street or even bitcoin ATMs. the easiest online method is probably coinbase though.
