  2.  @brechtthebest  , don’t worry, government planning never works, and even if it does, government is a lot less efficient than the invisible hand. So why worry about China? they are supposedly on the wrong path that will result in disaster. I’m being facetious, of course. California started its high speed rail line before China. It’s not finished yet, but chine built a nationwide network in 10 years.

  4. Well-being economy requires giving up hegemony and primacy. Small countries have no capacity to gain hegemony so they focus on well-being. And now, thanks to the globalization of communications and education, small countries can take advantage of innovation just as much as big countries.

  6.  @thelondonbridge6605  , well, democracy, especially as led by the USA, is supposed to structurally result in superior allocations of resources, superior leadership and superior overall outcomes. That was true in the recent past. Is that still true today? If you like the results, just stick with the system that Francis Fukuyama called the “end of history”. But leave other countries to take their own paths.
