Glad to see you are tackling the legendary QuadraJet and I hope that you are able to get it to work as they should, they are able to make great power if done correctly. Thanks for sharing your work and day with us and we enjoyed watching the series. Great weekend to you all.

βΒ @erik_dk842Β and probably not as cheap as the kid at the neighbors farm/ranch in the summer time, LOL. Did and of them do well and get used in the harvesting? Curious to know what you learned and got used in your tenure.?? Thanks for the comment and sharing it with us.

Good luck and God bless you and your family and neighbors. Hopefully you are able to get by and do what you have to do. P. S., I will be patient and waiting for your next production, we miss the pup, wit, and the all out wit of your comments. Amazing how you make the most mundane of tasks better with your wit Wes! Will be looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Good old tractor there! Bravo to the two of you.

It happens all the time on those things. Stress, rust, heat cycles, wrong torque, didn't clean the drum, and rim face with let the rust break free and like I said the thickness of a business card will start the wobble and cracking and cascades from there. Glad to see you and the pup are doing well and hope that you have a great thanks giving.
2
I would work with you, do it every day and have to say that you are doing well with all of the hacks you have to fix
2
Companies are almost idiots in the world of common sense unless they want angry customers or perspective buyers from using or buying them again with the attitude of a 15 cent o ring that if you didn't have one or the correct composition of one in it is their fault for not supplying one.
2
You're welcome Wes and family including Max!! π

Β @WatchWesWorkΒ God bless him I just lost my last one, she was 16 years old and went from good to death bed in 12 weeks time. Enjoy the old one and if you ever get time take him for a ride.
2
Have to ask about the wrench and where it came from, the old double open ended one.
2
Wes is the man, I love how things go.
2
If anyone is able to fix it and has the knowledge to get it done I believe that it is going to be you. Got the electrical knowledge and utensils to get it fixed and running.

That devious laugh of victory is what keeps me coming back for more, but I will say that the supervisor/quality control pup is also right up there with the mass knowledge that you learn or brush up your skills watching Wes fix stuff correctly and safety instead of the hackmanship that is a huge part of the American fix it all mechanic today. Good evening to you Wes!

Only you buddy, I am liking my old junk better every day. As your seeing it is a lot easier to fix than the Yukon. Probably don't make as much as working on the new ones, but it is is a interesting break right? π€

Yes sir he is going to have fun getting his hands back to get it off. Enjoy your day today.
1
Hello there old puppy and guard dog have Wes take you and the wife out for ice cream π¦
1
Yes sir I started out my career when they were phasing them out and they were on everything, old bud suicide split rims, I worked for my great uncle in the early 90's and a guy that I worked with was a big guy who was around 5'10" and 260 pound one ring didn't seat and it come apart broke his arm and threw it and him 14 feet in the air made a imprint in the roof of half the rim. That tool is awesome I will say that all the years they have been around, I wish they had one 37 years ago lol. We still don't have one. I do have a one with a great tri point set up for pulling off frozen wheels of with chains and a big bolt that goed into a adapter that is different sizes that fits inside the axle bolt pattern inside the bolts and T hooks on 2 chains you put in one set of holes and pull with a inch gun. Then move to the next set and do it again if 5 hole wheel of 2 like you have tighten spray smack with a sledge and repeat it keeps pressure on it instead of sledgehammering it trying to get off works great. Awesome job and you saved someone who is out there and is guaranteed. Over tighten will do it to. Like the anti seize and if you are using the hub pilot wheel set up spray the wheels and torque 475-500 ft pounds. Hey you do fine I have done them like that for decades pound and spoon bars. Put a drop on the nuts also they call them wet torque washers. Never had one come loose. We wire brush the rust off the wheel face like you said that rust even if the thickness of a business card will cause vibration or torque spec issues. Loosen from the rust and miniscule crack between one sat of lugs will cascade around eventually and then get to that.

I'm happy that you are alive

I'm going to try and start a channel and I'll say that every video you make is 98% direct and precise to the point! I will say that I have thanked you for your time and help before but I promise I have not said it enough but I am going to say it now. I have used your videos on everything from A-Z from work, fixing tools, getting information on how to fix stuff correctly, and much ,much, more. I hope you have a great day today and I hope you have a great year this year. If you take a sponsor believe in it, I will say that you have been a great service for me along with the Mortske, De Boss, and a couple of others. All education for me and at 56 years old this month in 10+ days I still learn and I have learned more about certain things like diagnosis and electrical work from you than most. God bless you and I will wish you and your family the best this year!
1
You know by the connection and condition of things they didn't take care of it period.
1
Smart fix Wes!

I'm worried about you and your puppy
