Glad to see you are tackling the legendary QuadraJet and I hope that you are able to get it to work as they should, they are able to make great power if done correctly. Thanks for sharing your work and day with us and we enjoyed watching the series. Great weekend to you all.

Like I said 13/32, over engineered but your going to have a great runner.

Yes heat is your friend.

If you're able to master a Q-Bet you're going to be able to fix anything 😜

Looking pretty good from my house on my old outdated phone. Perfect clean, except for the little places you showed. You are going to have it sparkling clean.

Nice place you have.

Had one on a 72 Pontiac Firebird with a SD455 in it and the original QuadraJet was a great carburator after a rebuild and a couple of other pieces from a older guy who had is own garage and race car. Would smoke tires from Stop sign to stop sign in old Pennsylvania town streets. I will have to get you a measurement of the distance when I get home this weekend.

Everyone hates them, but when dialed in the RQJ Carby is one of the best there ever seen on most GM muscle 💪 era vehicles. Over engineered though.

I used to take a pry bar like you used or a chisel and a hammer and done quickly. Snugged tight with tabs after a few taps and go.

Yes heat is as important as you can get along with the sonic part.

Gotta get Mad? He will be praying that you are going to take him for a ride. Yes it will on the emissions bogg and junk gas.

You being a younger wizard tech would not have known that unless you have done them before.

Wes my professional Carburator tuning didn't happen over night . Took me a couple of your frustration until I figured it out

Your rivet gun has my attention Wes it's a blast and a beauty looking at you pounding out those straps with it and the lines probably sucked rotted out from minute one of entering your shop. I have faith in the a great running around with the Q-Jet.

You have to have the Zinc in the older motors and it's race proven that the solid lifter cams have to have it. Now the tractor deal is the perfect thing to put tractor supply diesel oil cheap. I run the Red Line or Amsoil in my good motors. The new ones don't need it or the hydraulic lifters not necessary. Project Farm does have a couple of videos on the oil and the additive to put in it.

I remember when everything had those pretty units on them.
1
Those trucks were not new when I started working on vehicles.
1
They had to know where to cut it out and chalk line works good. Felt/Tar paper probably.

He is keeping you safe from the plague killing the mice, etc.

It was all bogged down with the emissions crap and lack of compression/robbing our gasoline of all the things it had in the late sixties and seventies, luckily in the fly over america and rural places it didn't get all squeezed out in places until almost 1990. After that today's gas but was experimental on our vehicles until it was perfected. Great day to you and I will be watching to see what's next great day to you and I hope you have a great weekend.
