  2. I had a 70 with a 351C in it and it was one of the baddest rides I ever had. Was a killer runner, and for as many go fast goodies it had I gotten decent fuel mileage as long as you can keep it around 55-60 miles an hour on the interstate. All depends on the rear end gear you have in the car. I will be enjoying your getting it running.

  3. Just like back in the day! Those mirrors were known for that since year two of there after you got them new. My neighbor bought one for his wife and it was triple blue with a 400/400 turbo and floor shifter and factory air. Was one of the nicer stock care in the neighborhood back in the mid 70's.

  31. I am a subscription holder that tries to watch every one of your videos and projects. I do my best to like, share and comment on all of your videos. I get behind sometimes and this is one of those times. I believe that if you are lucky enough to have minimal water and are able to get it to turn over you will be successful. If no spin you are out of luck if you are able to get it to turn over fast enough it will be as the legend goes, it will fire. Good luck, great evening to you all the family.   33. From a engineering stand point, it would at the least pull on all the fasteners and floor would say and walls would probably crack. Then on top of that depending if the center support of the second floor depending on the layout upstairs would get to weakening the second floor and roof possibly.   72. I enjoy watching all of your guys videos, I just wish I had more time and was able to get everyone caught up. I have been playing catch-up with the channel of yours as soon as I found the channel and been trying to watch them all the best I can. I like passing them along with my inspection mechanic friends. I do service calls on Semi trucks and large equipment like back hoes, dump trucks, tractors, etc. When I am not doing that I change tires, I do brakes, tune ups, struts and small mechanical work to help out with the main load on the inspection mechanics. Need to get my inspection license one of these days, been doing it for almost 41 years now and never got around to getting one don't ask me why. I have also driven a coal truck for a little while. Rather do the mechanical work though.

  74. I have done everything else except for what you tried with the ice on the back of the compressor and I bet you that it's going to be that. I don't know what else it would be. I replaced the condenser and compressor about 3+ years ago and I can't remember if it was a Honda OEM one or not, something tells me that it was because I was on a kick about using cheap junk parts and I have learned that you get what you pay for.

Came back home and worked as a Mechanic at USA Tune up and lube and then at the Sky Harbor International airport before I left there and moved back to my Home State of Pennsylvania! I have been doing this kind of work since the late 80's, 88/89 and I made a C-Clamp for what you used the ball joint press for, and I would have never thought of using that for that, but I will say that is a great idea for doing that. I have been using my old C-Clamp that I cut the end off of and welded a socket on the screw for a gun or big ratchet! Had it ever since say 91/92 thanks for sharing that today I will use the press on the bigger ones instead of struggling sometimes with the old faithful one I made years ago. Happy Boating.

Go look up parts for a 1979 AMC Jeep 304, they are one of the most awesome motors out there and my favorite is the 401 AMC and my friend had one in Highschool and we would put a 12 oz. beer in front of the front tires and take bets that he could wheelie over it without crushing it or touching it. Would make it over every time.

  173. 26:10 I have a great amount of those books, back in the day when I started out you knew the old timers that you could ask, knew someone who was a mechanic at the dealership, and learned it from writing it down on paper and using tags for on stuff, and bought the manuals and books like you showed. Then before the Cell phone and smartphones they come out with the digital camera with the little screen on the back I used that with the new fangled OBD I then the OBD 2 and you know the rest. The worst ones were the Mercedes Benz, Audi, and VW manuals from back then 90' & 2000's and expensive and I still have them. Why I have kept them all I don't know but I should get rid of them, it is like a great library that you don't use much anymore with today's gadgets.

If you could get a back up shifter or just the piece I know a guy who is able to make one if he can see (get machinist measurements) to make you one . Been doing it for 3 generations and they are all still there for now.

  223. I bought a 1988 Mercury Cougar XR 7 with 50K on the clock and the 90 year old guy that I got it off of didn't drive it since 1995 and there's not a speck of rust anywhere on the car. He kept it in a climate controlled garage and it was 50 in the winter and 70° in the summer time. Looks like a time capsule out of a dealership showroom that was frozen in time. I have a issue with the fuel injection though. It's OBD 1 and he and his son had a new fuel pump, fuel tank, sending unit, fuel lines, fuel filter, 8 new fuel injectors, EGR valve, and a new Idle Air Control sensor. I was surprised that it didn't have a MAF sensor. I can crank it over and it will fire shortly and quit after a 10-15 seconds at best. Then it won't fire again unless you have someone crank it and I tap on the injectors. After I tap away and get it idling it will idle all day and it will go around the block barely and die in the spot I started from. Fuel pressure is great at 45 psi. and holds all day with a gage on it for about 30 minutes. Got great spark, I have to try and figure out why it won't fire and run correctly, kinda stumped. Relay ,ground ,I even put a new PCM in it. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

  251.  @NoNonsenseKnowHow  you my friend are the .001% that is able to do that. Most people don't know any of the owners and they just feel the need to do what they wish. I seen it happen so much they give up and sell everything and then the money turns it into a strip mall or housing community. Few can make enough money to see and a living and continue to pay taxes.
