  1. As with Patton and Patton's son in law if my old memory serves me correctly. Patton sent a task force well behind enemy lines for a rescue mission that failed miserably for the son in law got shot in the rear. This was tried to be covered up but leaked out eventually.. Some things are exposed and some are not until years later and the higher up the rank you betcha that there is more covering up in the military family around the world than you might believe, but you can bet it happens and sometimes they get away with it, some get exposed years later, and some get caught. You do the math and if you wanted to hide something would you make a record of it or a false one leading to something else that fits into the norn.
