I also have forgotten about the main reason that both sides had to deal with was the 20 to 40 below zero weather for the entirety of the offensive and the miserable wind, snow, and thick clouds that hampered the German vehicles, tanks, and any air support that they could have been able to dig up. By this point they were more over used to transport people who had to escape here and there but was just to the point that they were running out of places to go to. The Allied air power was to overwhelming to do anything against or get away from. Great evening to you all.

  2. Poor planning, lack of quality troops, wore out from the Eastern front. Lack of fuel and surprise, they caught them off guard but not enough to get it done on time. No air power left, and couldn't get strategic points taken on time.

Again I forget to share the fact that the one tank division had seen them dump the fuel and started burning it and the munitions that they so desperately needed and ending up out of fuel abandoned there armor and walked back to the Germans main line and then back home in the clear blue old skies.
