  1. Wrong. Just because hydrogen can be used for surplus storage does not mean that we should put it in cars. Just convert it back to electricity at the exact same facility when needed and then distribute through the grid. Also: A LOT of the renewable surplus will be consumed by charging EVs.

  2.  @stijnhs  Hydrogen cars are not significantly lighter than EVs. The tanks are rather heavy to withstand the enormous pressure.

  4. Guess what, hydrogen vehicles also require minerals. By the way, minerals are far from rare.
