That is such a famous misconception. Driving an EV is always the least polluting option. Even if you mainly use coal heavy electricity.

Hydrogen will always remain super inefficient. It's not a solution at all.

About just as bad. Even worse for human health.

THIS

@windson7 Lol transportation accounts for 28% of the total greenhouse gas emissions. Industry 22%. Methane and LPG are barely any better than gasoline and diesel.
1
Exactly. And apart from that: EV's are ALWAYS the cleanest option, even if you use coal heavy electricity.

The oil industry uses loads of cobalt in the refining process of petrol and diesel. And yes you need plastics and lubricants to build EV's, nobody is denying this. But the total requirement for oil related materials over the lifetime of the car is FAR LESS than any petrol or diesel vehicle.

yes sir!
1
Because the battery only has to be made once - fuel has to be made for every gallon. Electricity is what runs the car. Not the battery.
1
Still insanely inefficient and it threatens land use for food stock. Not an option at all.
1
Ryan B Cushman Insanely inefficient.
1
Lol so what. EV's are still a lot better.
1
Exactly sir. Also one should not forget that for every gallon of gasoline or diesel cobalt was used in the refining process. The oil industry is the biggest user of cobalt in the world.
