@daimsaeed The first iPohne didn't last a full day on a battery. Although Nokia phones could last a week on a charge, the iPhone still was lightyears ahead.
23
@daimsaeed Ever heard of Tesla?
16
Well done
4
Nope. We are omnivores which means that we can thrive on both.
4
@annettewhitt6442 then you shouldn’t use it as an argument. You just like to eat meat. Period.
4
Yes we can and no, it is not insane.
4
You have no clue
4
Why not? It's far less polluting than a diesel or petrol car. Eco friendly does not mean that it does not pollute at all.
4
@CordeliaWagner exactly
3
@NyanyiC Vegetables are full of B vitamins, except for B12.
3
There is no such thing as morally good meat.
2
It’s just the best option we have. Anything has their effects on the environment.
2
@nononsense5786 Nope it’s not.
2
@insectbite1714 Exactly. Not many people understand this unfortunately.
2
Manuel Müller exactly

Thanks.

Reusing and eventually recycling.
1
The fossil industry is one of the biggest consumers of cobalt...
1
Guess what, electrons are even more sustainable. You are comparing the wrong things.
1
It’s full of anecdotes..
1
Wonderful argument sir.
1
Only 40% of German electricity is generated by coal...
1
@Drew70721 Correct and that is exactly what is needed. Although wild cows will continue to exist.
1
@Drew70721 Cows that live in the wild and are not used by humans. Existing cows will obviously just be slaughtered as the transition to a vegan world would be a gradual process. The point is that farmers will be breeding them less over time. You cannot eat meat without contributing to cruelty.

This is a tv show for children?
1
Doesn't really matter. Driving on electricity is a lot more efficient so emissions per kilometer are always lower. Battery production is currently at about 65 kg of CO2 per kWh and this will further decline in the near future.
1
Apparently electric cars pollute the air also! -yes, but far less how much will a full charge cost in future? -hard to say, depending on where and how you charge. Home charging will Always be the cheapest option. Will the companies take advantage of consumers with electric rates? -What do you mean Does a battery car absolutely has to be fully charged? -Of course not. Why do you think so? will governments help? Many countries already provide incentives The ratio between electricity cost and mileage?.....is it cheaper or expensive to use? -A lot cheaper than driving on petrol or diesel. In Europe about half the price per kilometer With petrol cars you can put a minimum of gasoline to get you going for a of few days. Can the same be done with batteries? -yes
1
So what? Combustion engines will eventually be completely gone.
1
There is one big difference: pollutants from petrolium products go up in the sky. Batteries are just here to stay, so the waste stream is much easier to keep in control. And no, battery waste is not worse than a car's lifetime emissions.
1
The Chinese make insane developments regarding quality these days. And don't forget, they have to comply to European safety and quality standards before they can sell vehicles here. As long as the quality is acceptable for most customers and the price is much lower, the German car industry has plenty of reasons to be scared.
1
explain yourself.
1
Hopefully a lot
1
Well designed batteries last hundreds of thousands of kilometers. Battery replacement could eventually cost several thousands of dollars per module.
1
@ShankarShashi It's not similar at all. Most lithium is mined by brine evaporation. Any mass produced product is in a way bad for the environment. The goal is to choose the least polluting option.
1
The MG ZS EV is Chinese and being sold in Europe.
1
We can do both at the same time.
1
@ns1559 Battery recycling has been around for a long time. It probably won't really be a problem to adapt these existing technologies to EV batteries when amounts of salvage cars increase. Used batteries are full of valuable materials so they won't end up in landfills. Capturing carbon after combustion is possible, but requires a lot of energy and does not really work outside of stationary applications.
1
Doesn't matter. Even if you charge your EV with the dirtiest electricity you can find, it is still cleaner.
1
Always the same with German media when it comes to EV related subjects.
