  17. Battery prices have been decreasing FAST over the past 10 years and this will continue to do so. H2 will always remain about 2 to 3 times as expensive per kilometer because of the horrible efficiency. This will not change simply because of laws of physics. Elon chose batteries because of clear advantages from a technical point of view. Fuel cell vehicles are never going to take over the market simply because current battery tech already makes H2 obsolete regarding range and charging speed.

  20. You are wrong. We are already far past that point. Battery electric is already here and here to stay. Countless public parking spots have already been equipped with over night chargers in many countries and fast charging is a non issue these days.

  21. Hybrids were cool 20 years ago. But they are definitely not the future with the dropping battery prices and the much more simplistic and almost maintenance free electric drivetrains.

  23.  @MickR0sco EVs are even easier. You won't have to even fill up 9 times out of 10 because you charge when you sleep. Current EV's can go hundres of kilometers on a full charge if you really have to and after these hours you need a break anyway. Fast charging often takes only less than half an hour. And that at only a fraction of the cost and CO2 emissions of petrol or hydrogen.

  24. You need A LOT more ships to move your petroleum products around the globe to keep your car running its entire lifetime than you need to make a single battery pack only once. Electric makes a lot of sense for long distance traveling nowadays.

  25. tunespt I am not saying that EVs drive on renewables. Even on current electricity mix they are cleaner. Batteries don’t end up in landfills, manufacturers are obliged to take them back and recycle them. They like to because they are full of valuable materials.

  41. "we didn't try all the hybrid yet" lol. Hybrid is over man. We shouldn't be hauling around internal combustion engines and petrol tanks in our EV's anymore. It is super inefficient. And yes, a Tesla is in fact a lot cheaper to run than any petrol / diesel / hybrid car.

  43. Used to be free in the beginning, not anymore. Prices vary per country. Often around 0,25 Euro per kWh. So if you have a 75 kWh battery it will cost you less than 20 Euro for a full charge.

  44. It's not because current batteries last longer than the vehicle itself. Hydrogen cars do not have combustion engines by the way and require a lot more maintenance and replacements.
