  1.  @davidbrayshaw3529  Every EV makes sense. Even if charged solely on non renewable energy (which is impossible), it still is much better than any alternative. Everything on the road is going to be electric.

  2.  @davidbrayshaw3529  I didn't claim EVs only store renewables. But they do store a lot of renewables nonetheless. Actually there is a lot of wind at night. Also, many people charge at their employer during the day. This effect will grow as more EVs are sold. And obviously, bi-directional EVs are even better. And yes, we also need a lot of stationary batteries.

  3.  @davidbrayshaw3529  EVs automatically store loads of renewable energy because, like you said, they are doing nothing 23 hours per day. There is always an average number of EVs charging at any given time.
