The exact reason for Hertz holding back on purchasing more Model 3 vehicles is because of their recent price drops, meaning they lost resale value for Hertz. Hertz is still committed to purchasing a lot more Teslas in the future. And yes, parts and repair prices are another reason. Bottom line is an M3 is still a very affordable option for the average new car buyer.
