Yevhen Pavliuk 1. No, they will last several hundreds of thousands of kilometers 2. 14 x 35 km = 490 km in 2 weeks. Sounds like plugging in twice in stead of every night?! 3. The battery does not have to be kept warm when the car is parked.

Steve Awesome It is the future and eventually everyone will drive an EV. It’s not a niche. They are much more efficient so a lot of fossil fuel will be saved. Battery production is not a disaster. It’s simple as that.

1) Where I live I see chargers at public and private parkings more and more. 2) Tesla expects about 400000 miles for the battery, that's far more than 10 years driving for most people. And then what? The worn out modules can be replaced for a few thousand $ each. 3) Superchargers 4) You don't have to charge for hours. And you have to stop for sanitairy reasons anyway, right? 5) Model 3's will last much longer than that.

A Tesla fills up when you sleep.

@anttilaiho7801 It takes so long because it can and because it is cheaper. You can also choose to fast charge.

Antti Laiho I see what you mean, but plugging in at home and/or at work still feels a lot more convenient to me.

Of course it is.
