Yeah, they weren't too clear about it, but think of it this way: if you hook the "1 Newton apple" to a spring then due to it's weight it will extend the spring a little bit. That 1 Newton is it's weight by the way. Now if you hook a weightless rocket nose down to the spring and turn it on then if it extends the spring to the exact same length as the apple then the rocket produces 1 Newton of thrust. Hope this example makes it clearer.

Because it was built by americans and they know better. Because apparently multiplying with 1000 is too hard to step down from kilometers to meters so instead they measure 1760 yards to go 1 mile. Which is coincidentally 5280 feet or 63360 inches, what don't you understand? :-P

Depends on what you think of when you say the "world". Because I would say the Sun is also part of our world in which case it is the winner.

I dunno, it's among the first things I see every day after I wake up. If you said the heaviest weight in this planet that would be a different story. My world is what I experience every day.
