Formally the G217 National Highway, the road is in Xinjiang, running from DuShanZi District of Kuytun City (奎屯市, halfway between Urumqi and Ili)) south through the TianShan mountain range to Kuqa (库车市). The highway gets its name from those two end points. Length: 530 km. This would be a very nice ride on a bicycle, but there appear to be very limited accommodation or food along the way, so tent and cooking gear is probably required. But it would be a great trip.
