  1. Something about this video makes me uneasy, and it's not the religious strife, nor is it the nationalist sentiment. Rather, it's the people being interviewed expressing gratitude toward the government for building all the infrastructure in the city. In reality, it is the economic liberalization that has given the government the funds to build all that, and instead of praising the government, people should demand more economic and social liberalization. It is the government that chose 40 years of Leninist economic policies before finally choosing a path of more economic liberalization. 40 years that stunted India's growth and development. Indians should demand a continuation of regulatory and economic liberalization, so their country can continue its economic and social development far into the future. Any people who allow their leaders to take their freedoms away from them without fighting to get them back will forever live as slaves to the government, powerless and weak.
