  1. Why do you care if the Americans tell you how to live? You don't have to pay attention to that. If your friend tells you how to live, you might listen respectfully, but you will still go on living the way YOU want.

  2.  @samtat0315  Doesn't matter if it's a friend or an enemy. You don't have to do what they say. However, it is possible this friend/enemy says this: If you behave the way I want, I will give/lend you money. If you don't behave the way I want, then no money. That is not telling you what to do, it's offering you a business deal. You can take it or leave it.
