  1. Things may look gloomy now, but the roll-out of renewable energy generation is growing at almost exponential rates. 10-15 years from now, things will look much better. I also expect we will see massive growth in EVs during that time, all of which help to lower our CO2 emissions drastically. I'm very optimistic about our future.

  3.  @GhostOnTheHalfShell  Cost benefit analyses are being applied. That's why you have tons of private investors getting into renewable energy. They wouldn't do it if they didn't think it could generate a profit. There is also no 'logistical nightmare'. Certainly, off-shore wind is logistically complex, but it's been done for decades already, and we know very well how it's done, what it costs, what resources are needed, and what the impact on the climate and the immediate environment is, exactly because we already have over 30 years of experience.
