  2. Yes, I suppose it's impressive, but I still wonder what the purpose of this exercise is. After all, they are chef's apprentices, their purpose should be to make the best food, not to perform tricks.

  4.  @blushingralseiuwu2222  Yes, I have noticed some locals (here in China) find this kid of showmanship to be very entertaining, but I usually put that down to the diners being low class. Higher class diners are more interested in high quality food, and high quality restaurants never have this kind of pointless performance. I feel sorry for the chefs that feel pressured to become circus performers.
