COP meeting notwithstanding, we will continue to invest in renewable energy, invest in energy saving measures, and invest into the green economy. And China and India will do the same, even if they are not normally included in the 'rich country' category. As other countries get more developed, they will do it, too. My critique is only with these angry voices demanding money from us, as if we had a responsibility to give them money.

  7.  @bhaskarjyoti  "80% is emitted by the developed countries". The combined 'West' (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Australia, NZ, Japan, S. Korea) emit 29% of CO2, so when you say 'developed countries', you must be including BRICS countries, which as a group emit 47% of total CO2. The numbers are from 2022. The sources are the International Energy Agency, an international agency whose members include Brazil, India, China, S. Africa, Indonesia and others.

  8.  @bhaskarjyoti  "do you not know BRICS too have developed countries?" I think it depends how we define 'developed country'. For example, China consistently rejects the label 'developed country'. Russia is developed by most standards, I think. "People in the comments are attacking India". Maybe elsewhere, but not in this thread. Don't be too sensitive. Just because someone says that New Delhi has serious air pollution, that is not an attack, just stating an unpleasant fact.
