  1. It's a great deal for SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp) and GM, both part-owners in this venture. I don't think they paid very much for this auto manufacturer. Especially GM seems to struggle with EVs otherwise, so this may be a nice, little money-maker for them.
